Giuliana Rancic, the E! News anchor, is in all of our minds at the moment as she undergoes treatment for breast cancer. Rancic underwent a successful double mastectomy at the end of 2011. Now, following a short recovery time, has been back in the public eye gaining awareness for the disease. Taking this obstacle and carrying it as gracefully as she has make Giuliana quite a hero among the Susan Posnick staff.

Rancic, 36, was diagnosed with breast cancer back in October. Her prognosis was positive as the disease was caught early yet the impact of the news was devastating as expected.

"That was the hardest day ... (the emotions are) what you expect but so much more.” Rancic said. “It was incredible instant sobbing, and it was like the world just crashed down around me. I couldn't believe it, 36 years old, no family history."

Rancic caught the cancer while pursuing in-vitro fertilization with her husband Bill Rancic. She wasn’t intending on having a mammogram until 40 but chose to have one as apart of her in-vitro treatment. Rancic is devoted to telling her story to raise awareness of Breast Cancer among those not actively taking the suggested precautions.

We want to wish Rancic a full recovery. We also want to give our praises for being a graceful & inspiring woman through this hardship.

Oh for God's sake if this anorexic would put on 5 to 10 pdunos she would be pregnant PERIOD. My underweight friend thought she was infertile and became pregnant the instant she conicidently gained 7 pdunos. This individual is too vein to gain weight but still wears her hair very age inappropriate (she aint 23 any more) and for being vein should see she looks ridiculous with her tiny fame and her way-too-long-hair bobble head .Pack on a few pdunos and start acting your age

Melissa K I agree 100%! I would never go so far as to say she doesn't deserve it. But if she REALLy is lwnliig to do whatever it takes, gain the 5 lbs what are you gonna do if you DO get pregnant, and need to gain (GASP!) 25 or 30lbs say no way and let the baby starve in there? Sorry, I just think she is incredibly shallow, and now my rant is done!To answer Sara's question, DH and I went through 2 rounds of IVF, although the second was MUCH easier, becasue we already had frozen embryos (left from the first round) that we were able to use. Both our attempts each resulted in one healthy, beautiful baby boy (we used three embryos each time), and we are more blessed than we ever dared hoped we'd be during our 5 1/2 year struggle with infertility. Looking back, even now so far removed from it (our boys are 4 & 7) when people ask about the experience, my answer is the same it was the hardest, most harrowing thing I have EVER gone through, and it was worth every needle stick and hormone surge I had to go through to get my children here to me.
