Friday Faces:Vanessa Williams
Though she's played the role of villainess more than once, she's anything but in real life. Our Friday Face this week is Vanessa Williams. In 'Ugly Betty,' we loved her as the ever-scheming fashion editrice. And in 'Desperate Housewives,' we'll miss her as the neighborhood vixen -- a part she played for two years till the hit show's recent season finale.
We also admire Williams' philanthropic work towards women's empowerment. She's been a spokesperson for Dress for Success, an organization that helps upstart economic independence for disadvantaged women through providing career development and professional attire. She's also sat on the advisory board of Hearts of Gold, a charity that supports homeless women and their children in New York City.
And it seems Williams is a fan of Susan Posnick Cosmetics, too. She loves COLOREssential Lipstick in "Dubai." With a new ABC series in the works -- '666 Park Avenue' -- we'll be keeping up with her both on-screen and off.
