An Ode To...
For those of you who don't know, Susan Posnick Cosmetics is based in Dallas -- home to ranch-running cowboys, grill-smoked barbecue, and believe it or not, impeccable southern style For the next few posts, we'll reflect on our roots and feature some Dallas fashion bloggers to give us the lowdown on all things southern and fabulous.
Susan Posnick Cosmetics has more in common with Dallas than locale. Susan has a connection to the cast of Dallas--you know, that TNT drama that's also a continuation of the iconic original series. It's a household name in American prime time history and the new show is just as addictive as the last. Our 'Friday Face' this week is one of the show's southern belles, Brenda Strong.
Even if you've never seen Strong's work, chances are you've heard her voice. She played the mysterious Mary Alice Young, who narrated the entire series of Desperate Housewives. But this time she's front and center, but playing an outsider as Ann, Bobby Ewing's wife. Despite being new woman on the ranch, Ann is fervently loyal to the family, making her one to watch when things get messy.
But for all her complicated lives onscreen, Strong keeps things peaceful off as a yoga instructor, a fun fact you maybe didn't know. We're especially excited that she's got a book about yoga and women's experiences in the works. The first season of Dallas just wrapped up, but you can still catch a few episodes airing on dallastnt.com.
