Statement Making Headbands for Fall

Gone are headbands that would make Blair Waldorf ban us from the steps of the Met. This fall, headbands are understated--and most importantly, grownup. Make floppy bows a hand-me-down and indulge in fall's new favorites: chain head wraps, skinny headbands, or turbans.
1. Chain Head wraps. Headdresses come in many styles, but this fall we're opting for chain head
wraps that we'd imagine flappers wore in smokey speakeasies. The look
doesn't work well post-blowout, so wear it with pin-straight, tousled,
or pinned up hair.
2.
Skinny Headbands. Dress up any outfit by wearing a thin headband
(especially over wide ones). And that doesn't mean they have to be
solid-colored. We love them when they come in delicate details--and seem
like jewelry, with pearl encrusting or tiny gold plating.
3.
Turbans. They may seem difficult to pull off, but they're more than worth
it when you do. Try a turban headband in a unique print, worn with solid
clothing. Turban headbands look best when you plan your outfit ahead of
time. Like any head wrap, they accentuate the shape of your head, so leave the volume for another day.
